Howdy! My name is XTIAN, I am a surrealistical artist guy from Melbournia. This be a blog of my arts, a sort of "what's new?" with regards to everything from collages to music to film. I make a lot of stuff (mostly collages though. Do you? Get in touch.) WARNING: some of this gear may be NSFW.
For more of my stuff see www.gadzooxtian.com .
A question we get asked a lot, so to answer all our fans we did an experiment at the last MKULTRA meeting at the Horse Bazaar. We stretched a piece of string as long as the collage is believed to be currently: 78.4m/ 256 feet. It did not go without hitches, and was a rather funny experience. AND WE FILMED IT. So behold!, an amazing real-and-true live-action documentary with Thrills! Laughs! Lens flares! And length!! Such length!!!
Devin has written the lyrics to my song Flying to Patagonia!
Land of giant sloths!!!
And that would be one of the top ten things to ever happen to me- if it were true!
But it ain't!
I wrote them and they're a lot simpler than Heavy Devy's lyrics.
This man is not my lyricist.
The lyrics listed are from Devin's Bastard from Ocean Machine, a very fine album but bugger all to do with me.
Still, should anyone google Fat Little Bastard (my band - scope it [HERE]), it will now forever be linked with this lovely chap's name c/o some slacker Spaniards (Portugese? I donno.).
My beloved Pauline and I went to Japan for 3 weeks. So here's a 3 part travel doco I made about our adventures. Its funny, with a grrreat Japanese soundtrack (modern and old). GO HERE: www.gadzooxtian.com/fillumz
Heil fellows! First - new Fat Little Bastard album! This is the 14th album by FLB (not counting the 8 eps), and is called Shhh... Shut the Fuck Up and Listen to This. There's a lot of noise in the world by idiots, maybe they should just siddown and chillax with some music. Maybe even MY music... Either way, shut the fuck up. Anyhoo, I've got 14 rapid punches in your ear waiting to go, songs about beards on surf demons, about Al Jourgensen from Ministry, and The Boy Who Came Back from the Dead rides again (for the third time!) as well.
Check out this bad boy in its entirety HERE. "Is there merch for this amazing piece of music?", I hear you whine into the aether. Oh man, is there ever! Clicky HERE, bozo! Re: fixed links. A lot of the links on the USCDS merch page at redbubble were old and outdated but they are now all fixed. Links from T-shirts go to the bandcamp site where you can stream/ download my musics. Woop-woop!
An Ep of 7 songs from the R666CK! series. (More to come, oh yes.)
These were all done with an acoustic bass and all date to a few years back ( I been busy).
One for those preferring more trad sounds. FLB can't deliver trad sounds, but this is in the neighbourhood thereof. Some "garage"/ "bedroom genius" music, with an acoustic bass as primary weapon of choice. Catchy, short and rather weird ditties about potato vampires, broken hearts, britches, Sir David Bowie, etc. It's hilarity y'all! And it stars Indigo Loki Aurora of "Stinky Picnic" on vox and toy piano on "Lemonade".
Whilst the world knows it as "The Infinite Collage", it's actually called ...with uninhibited fingers for the unfathomable..., and... umm, yes, mmm, yes, I can see why you'd rather call it "infinite collage".
Anyhoo, it's 5 years old today, and whilst Mat and I could've gotten it some cake, we instead chose to do this.
So far this blog is pretty comix oriented (that's gonna change), so here's a video I made starring my partner, the Maharishi Walnut. The band is called The Museum of Love and Mystery, the song is "sub-life". Obviously comic book inspired, obviously better. I wrote the song, and you can grab it from uscds.bandcamp.com (link opens in new tab/ window).
